Janette Brown has been on staff with New World Youth Orchestras for three years, following many years as an active parent volunteer. She currently serves as the organization’s Executive Director. Previously she held the position of choral accompanist and teaching assistant at Lawrence North High School.
Janette holds an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana where she studied with Randall Frieling and Reginald Rogers. While pursuing her degree, she served as an accompanist for student vocalists and instrumentalists in addition to the AU Women’s Chorus. While at Anderson, she was also selected as a soloist in the annual Concerto Aria Competition. Following graduation she taught piano privately in the Indianapolis area for over 15 years.
Janette and her husband, Matt, have four children and live in Indianapolis and are active volunteers in their church, working primarily with youth and missions. When not working, Janette can be found traveling, spending time with family, and drinking good coffee.
